The NBA season is steadily approaching and along with that we may be having an interesting change to a few NBA jerseys. No, there will not be any product placement ads or sponsors quite yet on our NBA jerseys. Yet, this upcoming season we may see nicknames on the back of our players uniforms. Ray Allen has said that he would like to wear his long time nickname of “Shuttlesworth” on the back of his jersey, playing homage to his character in “He Got Game”. Also the Nets are expected to also portray nicknames, we may see “KG”, The Truth, and “The Jet” running down the floor in Brooklyn. Not sure how I exactly feel about this move, what other nick names can we see coming down an NBA floor? Will KD wear “The Durantula” and Kobe wear “The Black Mamba”? Only time will tell.
